ABOUT THE 2021 EVENT
It's time for speed filmmaking history! This year HFPC's annual 7 hour short film making event will be on The 4th of July! Film Teams will only have 7 hours to write, shoot, and edit an entire short film and then have it screened at the end of the evening. A panel of local film professional judges will judge the films and then decide on the winning team. The winning team will be crowned The 2021 Speed Filmmaking Champions and will receive a cash prize (TBA) and each team member will receive a SFC Championship ring. The whole event will be broadcasted live, for everyone to see you and your films!
You can either register as an individual or register your own entire team. Or if you have what it takes you can register as a Team Captain (Reg fee as Team Captain is $125, late reg $175), and then you will be assigned your own team. There are very limited spots to register as a Team Captain, so register as fast as you can!
REGISTERING AS INDIVIDUAL
You will be placed on a team the day of the competition. When registering as an individual you can either select crew, on air talent, or both. Then you will more than likely have a part in whatever you select in the production your team will produce. You can also be placed on a team with a friend, just put the friend's name somewhere on the registration form below.
REGISTERING AS A TEAM
You are limited to 10 members on your team, but there is no minimum requirement. You must provide a team name at the time registration.
-Every competitor must check in by 11:00 am or will be disqualified (or just 1 representative of a full team can check in)
-Each Team will draw a film genre, between Comedy, Drama, and Action
-Each Team will have to choose a prop (props will be provided on the day of) to incorporate into their film
-Each Team will get 7 hours to produce the short film, and the film must be turned in by 7 pm on the dot
-The short films must have a minimum length of 6 minutes (not including credits)
-The short films must have no copyrighted material used, unless the team can provide the licensed documents for the material ahead of the contest.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING
1.) Please register and fill out the form below as either an "Individual" (who will be placed on a team the day of the event), a Team Captain (who will be given a full team the day of the event), or a Full Team.
2.) Then pay the registration fee by selecting the correct correlating "Buy Now"button below to what you registered as.
3.) If instructions are not followed completely, you will not be registered and may lose a spot in the contest.
